Accessibility
What we do to keep this website usable for everyone, where we know it falls short, and how to get anything here in a format that works for you.
Last updated 20 August 2026
Our commitment
Day Group Inc. is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, magnification, keyboard-only navigation, speech input or other assistive technology.
People come to a Licensed Insolvency Trustee at a difficult moment. A website that is hard to use is one more obstacle in the way of getting help, and we would rather remove it.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by accessibility legislation across Canada, including the Accessible Canada Act and provincial accessibility legislation.
Accessibility is not a one-off exercise. As we add pages and features, we test them against the same standard.
What we have done
- Text and background colours across the site are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Headings follow a logical order so screen reader users can navigate a page by structure.
- All functionality, including menus, accordions and forms, can be operated with a keyboard.
- Form fields have visible, associated labels rather than relying on placeholder text alone.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text can be resized in the browser without loss of content or function.
- The site is responsive and usable at small screen sizes and high zoom levels.
- Link text describes where the link goes, rather than reading “click here”.
Known limitations
We would rather be honest about the gaps than claim a clean bill of health:
- The live chat widget is provided by a third party, and we do not control its accessibility. If chat does not work for you, please phone or email us instead and you will get the same service.
- Some documents produced during an insolvency process are prescribed forms issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. We cannot alter their structure, but we can provide their content in an accessible format on request.
- Older blog articles may contain formatting carried over from the previous website. We are working through these.
Getting this information another way
If anything on this website is difficult for you to access, we will provide it in another format at no charge. That includes reading a page to you over the phone, sending information by email, providing large print, or arranging a consultation entirely by phone or video.
No explanation is required. Just tell us what works for you.
Consultations
A free consultation with a Program Manager can be conducted in person, by telephone or by video, whichever suits you. If you need an interpreter, a support person, extra time, or any other accommodation, tell us when you book and we will arrange it.
Tell us about a problem
If you run into a barrier on this website, we want to hear about it. It helps if you can tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, but partial information is still useful.
